When our children were still in elementary in school, I quit working full -to attend university. With the support of both my husband and our two daughters, I earned an Honors B.A. (in Psychology and English), and later a Master of Education degree.

Throughout my life, I’ve worked in a variety of sectors, including corporate education and not-for-profit. But when I wrote both my thesis and a subsequent book on the topic of entrepreneurship, I was keen to do something on my own.

With the girls both married and a granddaughter on the way, I retired from the corporate world and began coaching individuals and running workshops as a specialist in human behaviour. As a “fifty-something” self-employed grandmother, I love it.

It is a privilege to help people understand their behavior and that of others, or help them communicate better, stress less, and learn to balance their lives better.

Recently I helped write a guide for people who wish to retire from their current position and move on to something else. I’ve also taken more certifications so I can guide workshops or coach people who wish to consider what retirement possibilities exist for them.

Now it is exciting to join forces with one of my two wonderful daughters as we work together to help other families move through a process that can be challenging.
